Liam Gallagher’s Tweet Criticizing Noel’s Ticket Prices Has Backfired

The price of Oasis tickets has become a widespread talking point. Initially already high, the use of ‘dynamic pricing’, along with resale sites listing tickets for thousands of pounds and booking fees exceeding £100, has led to a general outcry over ticket costs.

Indeed, these tickets are the most sought-after in the UK and Ireland, with around 1.5 million sold for numerous stadium shows.

However, many corporations appear to be taking advantage of this demand by charging even more.

Social media has erupted with criticism of these high prices, and users have unearthed an old tweet from Liam Gallagher concerning ticket prices, which has not aged well.

Liam had previously criticized the cost of tickets to see his brother Noel perform in 2017. He tweeted, “350 dollars to go and see rkid in USA what a c*** when will it all stop as you were LG x.”

Unsurprisingly, this tweet’s reappearance has sparked outrage on social media, with numerous users commenting over the past few days.

One user asked, “What’s your excuse for charging over 368 quid then?”

Another ironically noted the tweet is “evergreen.”

Points were made about the comment “not aging well,” and others voiced disappointment, saying, “Imagine you doing the same.”

Memes have also appeared, such as Ted Lasso looking awkwardly around the room with the caption, “Awkward,” and a user posting three 👀 emojis.

The backlash has included comments on the apparent hypocrisy, with one person remarking, “This aged well 😂.”
