Lindsay Hubbard Reveals Surprise Pregnancy After Carl Radke Split

Surprise! Summer House star Lindsay Hubbard dropped an unexpected bombshell on the Fourth of July, revealing she is pregnant with her first child. The 37-year-old Bravo star, who ended her engagement with ex Carl Radke in August 2023, took to Instagram to share the heartwarming news.

"Trigger Warning: This post contains more fireworks than the 4th of July! WE’RE PREGNANT!!!!! 💥💥💥" Hubbard wrote on Instagram. "I truly believe the universe has a bigger plan and this is it! 💫"

Though she didn’t disclose the name of her mystery boyfriend, she expressed her excitement, stating, "My boyfriend and I are beyond excited to welcome our little #HubbCub this Holiday season 2024!! 🦁🎁"

In her announcement photos, Hubbard can be seen holding a positive pregnancy test and cradling her baby bump while dressed in jeans and a sports bra. She also shared images of a sonogram, tiny white booties, and a lion lovey, adding a sentimental touch with one image showing a man’s arms wrapped around her.

This joyous news comes just days after a source close to Summer House confirmed that both Radke and Hubbard will return for the show’s ninth season, documenting their breakup in season eight. The pair first became close on the show’s debut in January 2017, transitioning from friends to lovers and officially announcing their relationship in January 2022. By June 2022, they were moving in together and excited about taking their relationship to the next step.

Radke proposed later that year during the show’s seventh season. They planned to get married in Mexico in November 2023, but their breakup went public on August 31, just two weeks after Hubbard’s garden party-themed bridal shower in New York City.

"Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard have called off their engagement. The two were set to get married in November, but Carl told Lindsay he couldn’t move forward with the wedding. The breakup was filmed and will most likely play out on the next season of Summer House," multiple sources revealed at the time.

Hubbard has been open about being blindsided by the sudden turn of events. "How do you flip a switch that quickly unless you’re faking it, pretending, or I don’t know," she told ET. "How are you not blindsided by that?"

Post-breakup, Hubbard spoke at BravoCon in November 2023 about her plans to move on. "I’m trying to just think who I’m gonna date next. I’m kind of done with these Bravo guys," she quipped, hinting at a fresh start in her romantic life.

By February, she revealed that she was dating and had refocused her priorities. "My definition of individual success changes as the years go on, right?" she said. "I’m pivoting my individual success, so if I’m putting too much pressure on the ‘engagement, marriage, babies’ portion of it, then maybe that’s not what the universe wants for me."

Though she had taken the step to freeze her eggs, Hubbard noted that she didn’t intend to become a mom on her own.

In May, Hubbard opened up about her new mystery man on the B**ch Bible podcast, sharing that they had reconnected after dating briefly during the COVID-19 pandemic. "Some of my friends call it, like, a boomerang, where you go out the first time, the timing wasn’t right, and then they come back around," she explained.

The initial breakup came from her now-boyfriend, who had ended things in a respectful manner. They reconnected in December 2023, and Hubbard shared, "He broke things off with me, but he did it in such a respectful way. I went back and was like, ‘Let me see what this guy said.’ It was the nicest text ever, ’cause most guys will just ghost you or fade away or disappear or whatever."

Despite putting him "on ice" for a month, she agreed to a date, leading to their current relationship.

Summer House season 9 begins filming this week in Water Mill, New York, promising plenty of engaging content for fans.
