Lisa Rinna Celebrates Birthday at Self-Portrait Party with Stars

Reality TV royalty and fashion icon, Lisa Rinna, marked her 61st birthday with a grand celebration at the Self-Portrait summer party in London on Thursday night. The event featured a massive cake, so large that it required the strength of three men to carry.

This decadent cake was a two-layer pink creation, adorned with yellow whipped cream along the edges and a giant bow made of icing on top. It was crafted by Lily Vanilli, a renowned baker from East London, famous for her extravagant designs for special occasions.

The event took place at the recently revamped Kensington Roof Gardens, which has reopened this year as a private members’ club after a six-year hiatus. Known for its stunning views of the London skyline and lush greenery, this annual bash is a staple on the social calendar before many head off for their summer vacations.

Rinna was the center of attention, surrounded by Self-Portrait’s leading model squad, including Barbara Palvin, Soo-Joo Park, and Ikram Abdi. Decked out in new-season looks, they sang “Happy Birthday” and danced to tunes spun by DJ Benji B.

The guest list was star-studded, featuring names like Christopher Kane, Robert Wun, Sohee Park, Leonie Hanne, Ahalolo, Hana Cross, Zara Martin, Sophia Hadjipanteli, Eve, Nadine Leopold, and Edward Enniful. Enniful, who recently stepped down as editor-in-chief of British Vogue, was seen mingling with the likes of King Charles, Naomi Campbell, and Lionel Richie.

The powder room downstairs transformed into its own mini party as the evening wore on. Drag performers such as Diamond Peach Lollipop, Le Fil, Dakota Schiffer, and Starlet posed in front of mirrors, while a tattoo station operated nearby. One enthusiastic guest even mentioned wanting to get the brand’s initials tattooed on her chest.

The dress code for the evening was a mix of sultry evening wear paired with sparkly accessories, highlighting Self-Portrait’s newly introduced fashion jewelry collection.

Priced between 95 and 200 pounds, the collection includes eye-catching statement earrings, chunky gold bangles, and crystal bow brooches, all made with 18-karat plated gold and white-plated gold.

Notable attendees like Kelly Rutherford, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Mary Charteris, and Emma Weymouth incorporated jewelry from the brand to elevate their looks. Rutherford paired her Self-Portrait diamanté dress with sparkly silver earrings and a bow bag. Charteris chose chunky bracelets and statement rings to complement her red dress, injecting a touch of punk flair. Weymouth opted for a sequined strapless gown, teamed with a rhinestone clutch and crystal bow earrings.

Han Chong, the founder and creative director of Self-Portrait, expressed that the annual summer party is a moment to celebrate what makes London unique and brings together meaningful individuals.

He elaborated that every year, he seeks to evolve the party to capture the current spirit, and this year, it was about going back to the brand’s roots.
