Lisa Vanderpump Clarifies TomTom’s Status

Lisa Vanderpump has recently addressed the status of TomTom after Peter Madrigal, a former Vanderpump Rules star, suggested that the restaurant lounge might be no more. Peter had expressed his observations and some rumors he had heard regarding the restaurant. Lisa is now offering clarity while also giving Peter some credit.

Peter Madrigal recently commented on TomTom, which is partially owned by Lisa Vanderpump, Ken Todd, and Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz (each holding 5%). When PUMP closed, Ken and Lisa relocated it next door to TomTom and began featuring PUMP’s signage. Peter noted that he did not see the TomTom sign and speculated that the Toms had been bought out and the establishment had been rebranded:

“I looked at it the other night and I don’t think the TomTom sign is on anymore. It’s something I noticed the other night. She’s rebranding it as Pump. When you walk into that building, formerly known as TomTom, there’s a gate and it says Pump above it.”

Lisa has now spoken out to address Peter’s claims. She aims to clarify whether PUMP has overtaken TomTom, if the Toms have been bought out, or if there is another explanation. According to Reality Blurb!, Lisa clarified the situation on The Sarah Fraser Show:

“When we closed Pump, we moved some of the staff and our chef to TomTom, as they were so good, so we’ve been affectionately calling the back garden of TomTom the Pump Garden. But that happened months ago! [I] hadn’t thought about rebranding it all, but thanks for the idea Peter.”

It appears that Lisa Vanderpump has been integrating the staff from PUMP into TomTom but maintaining both brands. TomTom seems to be retaining its identity for now, despite the merging of some operations. PUMP, after a decade in West Hollywood, faced lease issues, leading to its closure. Lisa had no intention of losing it entirely, which explains the transitional strategy.

In another development, Lisa Vanderpump had offered Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval an opportunity to reclaim their investment in TomTom when they were launching Schwartz & Sandy’s and facing financial difficulties. However, they declined. Following the ‘Scandoval’ incident, where Sandoval’s infidelity led to substantial public backlash, both Schwartz & Sandy’s and TomTom received critical reviews. The controversy also involved a lawsuit against Ariana Madix, which further strained Sandoval’s business ventures. This series of events might clarify why there could be reluctance to continue collaboration with the Toms.

As the situation unfolds, speculation about Lisa’s future partnership with the Toms continues. Will she eventually decide to part ways with them? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
