Lock in Paramount+ Pricing Before the August Increase

Paramount+, the popular streaming service known for carrying CBS-aired NFL games and original content like “Mayor of Kingstown,” is set to raise its prices on August 20, 2024. For both new and current subscribers looking to avoid this price hike, an annual subscription offers a valuable solution.

Currently, an annual subscription to Paramount+ already provides a cost-saving benefit over the monthly plan. With the monthly rate for the Paramount+ Essential tier poised to increase to $8 later this month, opting for a $60 annual subscription becomes an even more attractive prospect.

Note: CBS Essentials and Paramount+ are both subsidiaries of Paramount.

Paramount+ offers two primary pricing tiers. The Paramount+ Essential tier grants subscribers access to every CBS-aired NFL game in the upcoming 2024-2025 football season as well as CBS-aired UEFA Champions League games. Additionally, it includes 24/7 live news with CBS News and on-demand access to a rich library of Paramount movies and TV shows from networks like CBS, MTV, Comedy Central, and Nickelodeon.

On the other hand, subscribers to the Paramount+ with Showtime tier receive all the benefits of the Essential tier. However, they also get the live feed of their local CBS affiliate, live sports events like the Masters and NSWL, and the ability to download Paramount+ content for offline viewing. Furthermore, this tier provides on-demand content without ads.

The new pricing structure will take effect on August 20, 2024, for new subscribers, while current subscribers will see the changes reflected on their statements around September 20, 2024.

  • Paramount+ Essential is currently priced at $5.99 per month, which will rise to $7.99 per month starting August 20, 2024.
  • Paramount+ with Showtime is currently priced at $11.99 per month, which will increase to $12.99 per month on the same date.
  • The prices for annual subscriptions will remain unchanged, with Paramount+ Essential costing $60 per year and Paramount+ with Showtime at $120 per year.

To bypass the price increase in the monthly plan, we recommend upgrading to an annual plan. New subscribers can also explore the platform through a seven-day free trial.

Paramount+ offers a plethora of features beyond just CBS-aired NFL games, making an annual subscription a significant win for both sports enthusiasts and casual viewers. Paramount+ subscribers can enjoy the live feed of their local CBS affiliate, including local news and popular award shows like The Golden Globe Awards.

Here’s a snapshot of what you can stream with Paramount+:

  • All NFL games airing on CBS, both locally and nationally, included across all subscription tiers.
  • On-demand CBS programming, featuring hit shows like “Survivor,” “Big Brother,” and “NCIS.”
  • Paramount+ original content including series such as “Lawmen Bass Reaves” and “Tulsa King.”
  • Live professional soccer matches, including the Champions League.
  • Live SEC college football games (available with the Paramount+ with Showtime tier).

By offering various subscription tiers and extensive content options, Paramount+ caters to a wide audience, making it a comprehensive streaming service that continually evolves to meet the needs of its users.
