Love Island USA’s Kaylor Announces She’s ‘Single’ after Split from Aaron

Love Island USA‘s Kaylor Martin has cleared up speculation about her relationship status with fellow contestant Aaron Evans, confirming she is single. Kaylor’s announcement comes after weeks of fan curiosity.

On Friday, Aug. 16, the season 6 cast of Peacock’s hit dating show appeared at the 92NY in New York City for a discussion about the series with host and influencer Remi Bader.

During the conversation, 22-year-old Kaylor opened up about her relationship status and the infamous Casa Amor episodes. Casa Amor, a twist from the original British series, introduces 10 new Islanders midway through the season to test existing relationships.

“One thing I regret is in Casa — not channeling my inner bad b—-,” Kaylor joked at the event. “I just fumbled through it.”

She continued, “Listen, I’m very lucky. I’m 22 years old. I’m going to go through heartbreak and fall in love — all of it. I think we all have been there once or twice. I’m glad I have been through it and I’m learning from this situation. And I’m single!”

Just a few days earlier, Kaylor had stated in a TikTok video — ahead of the season 6 cast reunion — that “Aaron and I are not okay” and revealed the couple was “done.”

“We are not together,” Kaylor said on Wednesday, Aug. 14, when the cast reunited in New York City to film a reunion special, which is set to air on Peacock on Monday, Aug. 19.

At the 92NY event, fellow cast member JaNa Craig teased some of the upcoming reunion drama, telling the crowd: “At the reunion, one of my top three moments was Kaylor standing on business.”

“Guys, you would be very proud,” Kaylor jokingly added. “I didn’t shed a f—— tear.”

During the Casa Amor segment of the series, Aaron had been coupled up with Kaylor. However, he flirted intensely with new Casa contestant Daniela Ortiz Rivera. Fellow main cast member Rob Rausch bringing Daniela back to the main villa created a challenge for Aaron and Kaylor’s relationship.

Despite the drama, Kaylor said during her New York City appearance that one of the greatest things she got out of her time on Love Island was “finding my best friend” in Liv Walker.

“And also I’m realizing my f——- worth,” she added. “Being in the villa is like living in a bubble. It’s not normal. It was very hard for me being in there. I did fall in love, and what you guys saw was very genuine.”
