Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz’s Kids Reunite in Las Vegas for Photos

It was a delightful weekend for the children of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, Lucie and Desi Jr., as they reunited over a family dinner in Las Vegas for STLV: The 58-year Mission. The siblings, now older, seemed very pleased to be reunited. In one affectionate snapshot, Lucie is seen embracing her 71-year-old younger brother.

They weren’t alone in their joyous gathering. Friends such as Clint Holmes and his wife Kelly, along with Maximillian Von Anhalt and Sunny Sessa, joined the reunion. Fans were thrilled to see the siblings together, noting that they have largely stayed out of the public eye over the years.

Lucie’s appearance at the event was thanks to EDC’s mega-producer, Nick Luckinbill, who had invited her and Desi as special guests. “Desi is alive and well, my friends—just likes to stay a bit ‘undercover,’” Lucie explained, adding they went to Las Vegas for the 35th Anniversary of Star Trek V at the Treksperts.

Fans quickly expressed their joy in the comments, praising how wonderful the siblings looked together. One commented, “Lucie is so cute and Desi has those oh-so-familiar cute ‘Desi eyes.’” Another added, “Wonderful to see the two of you together. Lucie, you look lovelier than ever.”

Reflecting on their parents’ marriage during a prior interview with People, Lucie and Desi Jr. shared that their parents loved each other until the end, even though they divorced in the 1960s. Lucille could no longer tolerate Desi’s alcoholism and womanizing, which led to their separation.

Lucie and Desi Jr. credit their parents for fostering a strong bond between them, even after the divorce. Lucille and Desi remained good friends and were reportedly closer as friends than as a married couple. Desi passed away from lung cancer in 1986, with Lucille on the phone telling him she loved him in his final hours.
