Ludacris Addresses Concerns of Contracting ‘Ancient Disease’ from Glacier Water

Rapper and actor Ludacris has sparked concern among fans after he posted a video of himself drinking water directly from a glacier in Alaska. Many viewers are worried about the potential health risks involved.

The 46-year-old shared the video on his Instagram, where he is seen standing beside a massive glacier in the US state. He described the experience of drinking a cup of glacier water as a “bucket list” moment.

“You know I got a bucket list, or as I like to call it, a ‘f*** it list,'” the rapper said. “I’ve never tasted fresh glacial water ever in my life. And this is a first.”

In the caption accompanying the post, Ludacris, whose real name is Christopher Brian Bridges, wrote: “So Good It Tastes Like GOD Made It. Well, Because He Did.”

The video has garnered over 27 million views on Instagram alone, and many viewers are alarmed by the footage. Some expressed fears that he could be seriously jeopardizing his health by drinking directly from the glacier.

One fan commented, “Bro gon discover some ancient disease.”

Another person warned, “Be careful with glacier water! Even though it looks fresh and clean, it’s often full of bacteria, parasites, and viruses… Microorganisms you definitely don’t want in your system. It can make you extremely sick. Make sure to boil it first to stay safe.”

A third humorously added, “Polar bears pee in that.”

Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr., also weighed in, asking, “……how long ago did he shoot this and have we been monitoring him?”

Simple online research could have informed Ludacris of the risks. Despite its clear appearance, glacier water can be hazardous for human consumption, as it contains harmful microorganisms like bacteria and parasites. Drinking it could expose one to these invisible lifeforms.

Thankfully, Ludacris seems to be fine. In a follow-up video, he addressed the concerns, saying, “For everybody asking me how that glacier water really tasted… when I tell y’all I am a water snob, it was the best tasting water I’ve ever had in my life. As I drank, I felt like every cell in my human body was being hydrated and rejuvenated at the same damn time.”
