Lycoris Recoil Returns with Special Summer Promo for Fans

Lycoris Recoil is reviving the excitement by gearing up for new projects, and to keep the spark alive, it has released special new summer artwork featuring its main characters. Originally produced by A-1 Pictures in 2022, Lycoris Recoil quickly became a fan favorite thanks to its unique storyline. The original series followed the lives of two girls who were part of an assassin organization and undertook perilous missions. During their downtime, they lived and worked at a café, blending action and slice-of-life elements in a way that captivated audiences.

The original run of Lycoris Recoil concluded in 2022, but it wasn’t long before a new project was announced. Although there is no confirmed release date or window for this upcoming project as of now, the franchise isn’t letting its fans languish in anticipation. The official social media channels of Lycoris Recoil recently shared some delightful vacation-themed art featuring Chisato Nishikigi and Takina Inoue, adding to the growing excitement around the series.

Additionally, fans of Lycoris Recoil have more to look forward to. The franchise is working on a new miniseries composed of six shorts, which promises to spotlight the daily life at the LycoReco café. Each short will focus on different characters and will be directed by various directors. While the release dates or windows for these shorts have yet to be disclosed, viewers can still enjoy the original series which is currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll.

Crunchyroll describes Lycoris Recoil as follows: “For these peaceful days–there’s a secret behind it all. A secret organization that prevents crimes: ‘DA – Direct Attack’. And their group of all-girl agents: ‘Lycoris’. This peaceful everyday life is all thanks to these young girls. The elite Chisato Nishikigi is the strongest Lycoris agent of all time. Alongside is Takina Inoue, the talented but mysterious Lycoris. They work together at one of its branches, Café LycoReco. Here, the orders this café takes range from coffee and sweets to childcare, shopping, teaching Japanese to foreign students, etc. It’s mostly tasks unbefitting of Lycoris. The free-spirited and optimistic pacifist, Chisato. And the cool-headed and efficient Takina. The chaotic everyday lives of this mismatched duo begin!”
