Warning: Claim to Fame Season 3 spoilers ahead. Unlike Gracie Lou, who Mackenzie is related to on Claim to Fame Season 3 is actually one of country music’s most beloved icons.

Mackenzie is one of the 11 competitors on Season 3 of Claim to Fame , ABC’s reality TV series where contestants with celebrity relatives must identify each other’s famous family members while keeping their own hidden. Hosted by brothers Kevin Jonas and Frankie Jonas, the series, which premiered in 2022, has featured country music legends like Jason Aldean and Dolly Parton. But let’s not forget to add who Mackenzie is related to on Claim to Fame Season 3.

Mackenzie’s celebrity relative is country music singer Trace Adkins. Mackenzie, whose full name is Mackenzie Adkins, is Trace’s daughter. Mackenzie’s two truths and a lie also confirm that Trace is her celebrity relative. (Unlike her competitor, Gracie Lou, who pretended that her celebrity relative was a country singer, Mackenzie’s relative is truly part of the country music industry.)

Her two truths and a lie were that her celebrity relative is her dad, a singer, and has won a Tony. Mackenzie is Trace’s daughter with his third wife, Rhonda Forlaw, thus her dad is indeed a singer, making her lie that her celebrity relative won a Tony. Though Adkins hasn’t won a Tony, he has three Grammy nominations, three Academy of Country Music Awards, and two Country Music Television Awards.

Mackenzie also confirmed Trace as her celebrity relative in her X account biography, where she wrote: “Am Mackenzie Adkins, daughter of Trace Adkins, the famous Music in the World.” Her profile header photo further confirms this as it shows her and Adkin in a car together. Additionally, Mackenzie was featured in the music video for Adkins’ 2000 song, “More,” which further corroborates her claim.

For those unfamiliar with country music, Trace Adkins is a renowned country music singer known for hits like “(This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing”, “Ladies Love Country Boys”, and “You’re Gonna Miss This,” which topped Billboard’s country charts in 1997, 2007, and 2008, respectively. He made his debut in 1996 with the album “Dreamin’ Out Loud” and has since released 10 more albums, including two Greatest Hits compilations.

Like Mackenzie, he’s made appearances on several game and reality shows, including Hollywood Squares , Pyramid , and The All-Star Celebrity Apprentice , which he won in 2013. Adkins has been married three times. His marriages include his first wife, Julie Lauren Curtis, from 1991 to 1994, his second wife, Rhonda Forlaw, from 1997 to 2015, and his current wife, actress Victoria Pratt, whom he married in 2019.

Trace has two daughters, Tarah and Sarah, from his first marriage. He also shares daughters Briana and Trinity with Forlaw, making Mackenzie one of his children.

Claim to Fame is available to stream on Hulu.
