Madonna’s Early Hit Reaches New All-Time Peak for Second Consecutive Week

Madonna has been experiencing a resurgence in her music career. Her iconic track “Like a Prayer” has once again become a global sensation, thanks to its inclusion in the top-grossing movie Deadpool & Wolverine. The song has re-entered various charts and has climbed even higher in recent rankings.

“Like a Prayer” is making significant strides on both of Billboard’s global song charts. It has reached a new peak position on both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl. US charts.

The song currently holds the No. 131 spot on the Billboard Global Excl. US chart. Meanwhile, it has climbed to No. 140 on the Billboard Global 200 chart.

Just last week, “Like a Prayer” made its debut on both of these lists. Interestingly, it initially appeared higher on the Billboard Global 200 than on the list that excludes U.S. data. This week, however, the positions have reversed.

Last week, “Like a Prayer” debuted at No. 181 on the Billboard Global 200. On the Billboard Global Excl. US chart, it started at No. 189, a few positions lower than its global ranking.

Throughout her illustrious career, Madonna has only managed to score a couple of hits on these rankings. Billboard introduced these lists in 2020, and since then, the legendary pop star has not had many chart-topping hits. Her first appearance on these charts came earlier in 2023 when she was featured on the song “Popular,” alongside Playboi Carti and The Weeknd.

Madonna’s recent success with “Like a Prayer” highlights the song’s timeless appeal and enduring popularity. As it continues to rise on global charts, it is clear that Madonna remains a relevant and influential figure in the music industry.

With her iconic status and the recent boost from Deadpool & Wolverine, “Like a Prayer” is set to captivate a new generation of listeners, adding another chapter to Madonna’s storied career.
