Maine Resident Featured on TLC’s “90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way”

I’m not typically drawn to shows like TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. It’s one of those reality TV series that I find difficult to watch without feeling a bit embarrassed. However, my girlfriend Michele is completely engrossed in it. It was through her that I discovered the newest season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way features a contestant from Maine.

The show’s premise involves Americans moving to another country to marry someone they have often never met in person. The resulting culture shock and various struggles provide the compelling, must-watch drama that captivates audiences like Michele.

This season introduces us to James from Maine. The show usually keeps last names and specific locations vague, so all we know is that he’s known as “James from Maine.”

According to TLC’s website, James and his wife Meitalia have been living in Maine for two-and-a-half years after meeting online. Meitalia is feeling homesick and believes a move to Indonesia to be with her family is necessary. However, James isn’t thrilled about this significant life change.

The initial episode of Season 6 has already premiered, but the episode featuring James and Meitalia is expected to air on Monday, July 8.
