KBS reality show MAKEMATE1 recently announced the winner’s lineup, introducing seven new members who will debut under the group NouerA. This article delves into the profiles of the NouerA members, offering a closer look at the new group’s debut.

MAKEMATE1 started with 34 male K-pop trainees of various nationalities. The show aired in May and concluded in July. Following the finale, KBS revealed the group’s name, its meaning, and the release date window.

NouerA signifies a group without boundaries, acting boldly. “Nouer” means “to tie together,” while “erA” stands for era. Hence, NouerA implies a group that will connect different eras through their music.

MAKEMATE1’s debut group, NouerA, features seven members: Noh Gihyeon, Jeon Junpyo, Jang Hyunjun, Han Yuseop, Lin Han Zhong, Bing Fan, and Miraku. They will promote their music and entertainment activities under Nouer Entertainment and officially debut in January 2025.

Let’s get to know the profiles of NouerA members, including their birthdays, ages, and unique characteristics as they prepare for their upcoming debut.

(Birthday: March 31, 2003) NouerA’s Noh Gihyeon is the oldest member of the group. The 21-year-old K-pop rookie is a former member of trainee group Daily Note. His role model is SHINee star Onew. Gihyeon ranked 5th in the MAKEMATE1 finale with over 5,965 points.

(Birthday: May 25, 2003) South Korean trainee Jeon Junpyo is the second oldest member of NouerA. His role model in K-pop is NCT star Ten. Junpyo ranked sixth at the MAKEMATE1 finale, securing over 5,862 points.

(Birthday: November 29, 2003) Jang Hyunjun ranked 4th in the MAKEMATE1 final round, gaining over 6,131 points. The third oldest member of the group cites BTS’s Jungkook as his biggest music inspiration. The 21-year-old rookie could become the leader of NouerA.

(Birthday: May 6, 2004) Han Yuseop earned his spot in the limelight after appearing on Mnet’s Boys Planet. He ranked seventh in the MAKEMATE1 finale with 5,757 points. Justin Bieber, Taeyang, WINNER’s Mino, and B.I. (Hanbin) are his role models. Before joining the KBS show, Yuseop was a trainee at 143 Entertainment and Jellyfish Entertainment.

(Birthday: December 30, 2006) Chinese-Korean trainee Lin Han Zhong ranked second in the MAKEMATE1 finale with over 8,583 points. The 18-year-old rookie is a fan of R&B and Hip-Hop music, considering ENHYPEN’s Heeseung his role model in the K-pop industry.

(Birthday: November 10, 2007) Chinese trainee Bing Fan is among the youngest members of the new group. A former trainee of Chromosome Entertainment, Bing Fan’s role model is NCT’s Haechan. He ranked first in the MAKEMATE1 finale with 9,020 points, becoming a fan-favorite trainee right from the start.

(Birthday: February 13, 2008) Miraku is the youngest member (maknae) of NouerA. He is the only Japanese trainee to make it to the MAKEMATE1 winner’s lineup. The 16-year-old rookie ranked third in the finale with 6,239 points, citing ASTRO members as his biggest inspiration. Miraku’s all-rounder skills in singing and dancing have yet to determine his position within the group.

Before their official debut, NouerA opened accounts on Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, and Weibo. Fans were initially confused about the group’s agency, Nouer Entertainment, which was created specifically to promote NouerA.

According to Korean reports, Nouer Entertainment is a part of the parent company MAKESTAR. This sub-label structure will support NouerA in establishing their career. Unlike some Mnet reality show groups that disband after a few years, NouerA could have a more prolonged career due to this new arrangement with MAKESTAR.
