Mamie Laverock of ‘When Calls The Heart’ Thanks Supporters as GoFundMe Ends

Mamie Laverock has expressed her gratitude to fans for the overwhelming support following her tragic accident in May.

Last week, a heartfelt message from the When Calls The Heart star appeared on the GoFundMe page set up by her parents, Nicole and Rob. “Thank you so much. I don’t even know what to say. My heart is full. Thank you again. I have no words to describe my gratitude,” Laverock’s message shared on July 18 read. “Love you guys. Thank you. MAMIE.”

Following her message, the family announced that the GoFundMe campaign has officially closed. “The fund has now closed,” the message continued. “Please know how much you helped this family in our hardest circumstances. Thank you for caring. Warmth, Nicole and Rob.”

The crowdfunding effort for the 19-year-old actress raised $39,022 Canadian dollars. Her family revealed that she allegedly fell five stories at a hospital in Vancouver, Canada, on May 26, leading her to be placed on life support. Laverock was initially rushed to the hospital on May 11 and spent two weeks in intensive treatment before she “was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories.”

In June, Laverock’s family disclosed that she had undergone four surgeries as a result of the fall. Her mother, Nicole Rockmann, clarified in an interview with the Los Angeles Times that her daughter’s fall was not intended or a suicide attempt. She emphasized that the family would take proper actions to hold those responsible accountable. “We have a case. All we care about is that Mamie can make a recovery and that she’s alive and that she’s fighting and that she’s strong,” Rockmann said. “It’s unbelievable that she’s with us.”

Last month, When Calls the Heart star and executive producer Erin Krakow provided an update on Laverock’s recovery journey. “She is recovering slowly. She is on the mend,” Krakow told ET. “I’ve been in touch with her parents and it’s a really tough time for the family right now. They have sent their immense gratitude to the When Calls the Heart community for all their support.”
