When Calls the Heart star Mamie Laverock shared an emotional message for fans nearly two months after a severe incident that left her on life support. The 20-year-old actress fell five stories from a hospital balcony after experiencing a medical emergency.

On Wednesday, Laverock’s family closed the GoFundMe fundraiser they had organized, as it had exceeded its $30,000 Canadian dollars goal, raising a total of $39,022 CAD. The star’s mom, Nicole Rockmann, and stepfather, Rob Compton, shared the news on the fundraiser page, including a heartfelt message seemingly from Laverock herself.

“Thank you so much. I don’t even know what to say. My heart is full,” the message read. “Thank you again. I have no words to describe my gratitude. Love you guys. Thank you. MAMIE.”

Under Laverock’s message, her parents expressed their gratitude and announced the closure of the fundraiser. “The Fund has now closed. Please know how much you helped this family in our hardest circumstances,” they wrote. “Thank you for caring. Warmth, Nicole and Rob.”

Earlier this month, Laverock celebrated her 20th birthday. Her mom posted a touching photo on Facebook, capturing their first hug since the accident. “Mamie moved onto her stomach, pushed herself up and held onto me … at that moment we realized we could have our first hug,” Rockmann wrote, thanking her husband for capturing the moment.

Laverock also shared photos from her birthday celebration, featuring balloon bouquets and a When Calls the Heart-themed cake.

Laverock’s fall on May 26 came after a severe medical emergency. Though her parents did not specify the nature of the emergency, they did note its critical nature on the GoFundMe page. Nicole managed “to get there in time to save her life,” they wrote.

After the initial emergency, Laverock was taken to a hospital in Vancouver, where her stay was expected to last “upwards of a month or more.” At that time, her recovery was uncertain, but she was showing signs of improvement.

However, things took a severe turn when Laverock fell from a secure unit of the hospital after two weeks of extensive treatment, resulting in life-threatening injuries. She has since undergone multiple extensive surgeries.

On May 30, Rockmann shared an update with the Los Angeles Times, stating that Laverock had “just opened her eyes” for the first time.

“Let’s just hope this is the turnaround and she’s going to get through this now. I couldn’t be happier that people reached out and cared,” she said. “The story will be told.”

Rockmann mentioned that her daughter was still on life support, though no longer on a ventilator. She did not provide details on Laverock’s injuries but mentioned her body was “shattered” and that she was in “tremendous pain.”

Rockmann clarified that Laverock’s fall was not “intended,” nor was it a suicide attempt. She placed blame on the hospital—St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver—and noted that the family plans to take legal action against the healthcare facility.

On June 26, exactly one month after Laverock’s fall, Rockmann provided another update on Facebook regarding her daughter’s recovery. “Thank you for your healing messages for Mamie,” Rockmann wrote. “Mamie survived her injuries; however, her road to recovery will be long.” She also mentioned plans to set up a mailbox for fans to send cards and well-wishes.

Laverock has been associated with the Hallmark family for a decade, initially portraying Rosaleen Sullivan in the first two seasons of the show. She returned for Season 10 in 2023, with her character now depicted as a nursing student.
