Mark Hamill from ‘Star Wars’ Talks About Kamala Harris’ Chances of Winning

“Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill was among the notable attendees in Chicago this week to support Vice President Kamala Harris as she formally accepted the presidential nomination at the Democratic National Convention (DNC).

Hamill expressed optimism to Fox News Digital while en route to a VIP event on Tuesday evening, stating he is “very confident” that Harris will win against former President Trump in November. Hamill, best known for portraying Luke Skywalker in the iconic science-fiction saga, paused to engage with fans and media, taking photos with Democratic supporters present at the event.

When questioned about President Biden’s farewell speech on Monday evening, Hamill described it as “fantastic” and admitted he was left “speechless.” His support for Biden has been unwavering, and he has been a vocal critic of former President Trump.

During the first night of the convention, DNC Chair Jaime Harrison and Hamill posted a TikTok video where the actor referenced his “Star Wars” background. “In the movies, I fought against make-believe evil. But we’re at a time in history where we’re fighting against real evil,” Hamill said, advising people to avoid supporting Trump, humorously adding, “please don’t go to the orange side.” Harrison also posed with a blue lightsaber in the video.

Hamill later shared the video on X and expressed his support for the Harris-Walz campaign and the Democratic Party, while advising MAGA supporters to “Go FORCE Yourself.”

The actor has consistently defended Biden, particularly after a less-than-stellar performance at a presidential debate in late June. Hamill took to X to remind followers of Biden’s legislative successes, contrasting them with what he described as Trump’s disqualifications, calling Trump “unfit for ANY office.”
