Mase Credits ‘Alkaline Diet’ for 70-Pound Weight Loss Transformation

Cam’ron and Mase’s It Is What It Is returned this fall on Monday (Sept. 2), and the co-hosts delved straight into Mase’s noticeable transformation.

Mase quickly dismissed any rumors or allegations of using Ozempic or any other weight loss drugs to achieve his impressive 70-pound weight loss. Cam playfully teased his co-host, asking, “You took the needle,” but Mase laughed off the comment.

The once rapper and now pastor clarified the situation and shared details about his new diet, guided by professional bodybuilder Ricky Moore. “That’s the hate I want. That’s the hate I needed,” Mase stated. He revealed, “I signed up with this coach named Ricky Moore, that’s a professional bodybuilder, and he just put me on the alkaline diet. I’m only eating fruit, vegetables, and water for now.”

Cam expressed his happiness over Mase’s refreshing new look, noting his slimmer figure, fuller hairline, and whiter teeth. “You look great, man. You look like back in high school,” Cam commented. “I’m happy to see it.”

Fans were quick to weigh in on social media, with mixed reactions. “Comment section sad fr,” one user posted on X. “I see a bunch of dudes hating on someone’s progression and speculating stuff vs just genuinely being happy for one of the OGs. I hate social media fr!”

As the new season of It Is What It Is kicks off, viewers can expect more from Mase and Cam, especially during the football season. Following O.J. Simpson’s passing earlier this year, Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin has joined the show to replace the late Juice in their weekly NFL segments.

Mase is not alone in facing allegations of using Ozempic. Ice Spice also confronted rumors last month while on tour, sporting a trimmer figure. “I actually came on here to talk about that real quick. I wish y’all never learned the word Ozempic,” she said in an August Twitter Spaces session.

“That’s one thing I wish. Oh my God! Like, what even is Ozempic? What the f–k is that? Genuinely, what is that?” Ice Spice exclaimed, emphasizing her frustrations.

She continued her tirade against the accusations, suggesting that people should consider more traditional methods for weight loss. “You lazy-a– b—–s never heard of a gym? It’s called the gym, it’s called eating healthy, it’s called being on tour. Like, what the hell? Maybe if I was sitting at home all f–king day, it’d be easier to stay big.”
