Massachusetts-Born Actor Reveals Walt Disney’s Last Words

One of the greatest mysteries of all time, at least in the entertainment world, revolves around Walt Disney’s last words.

Walter Elias Disney, the visionary behind Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Disneyland, and so much more, was born in Chicago on December 5, 1901.

Disney was a fixture on television for many years, producing award-winning films, documentaries, animated features, and the world’s first themed amusement park.

Among the many child stars Disney introduced to the world were Annette Funicello, Tim Considine, Tommy Kirk, and Kurt Russell.

In 1966, Kurt Russell, who would become close friends with Disney, signed a 10-year contract with Walt Disney Productions, becoming a top Disney film star in the 1970s.

He starred in Disney classics such as The Barefoot Executive, The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes, and The Horse in the Gray Flannel Suit.

Russell also played baseball for the minor league affiliates of the California Angels. He appeared in many television and motion picture roles as an adult, including Disney and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, on March 17, 1951, Russell grew up in California. He married actress Goldie Hawn in 1983, and the couple had two sons, Wyatt and Boston.

Walt Disney passed away in 1966 from cancer. On his deathbed, it is reported that Disney scribbled several things on a pad. His last known words were “Kurt Russell.”

No one, including Russell, knows why Disney mentioned him.

Russell confirmed with a Disney official around 1968 about Walt Disney’s mysterious message. In a 2017 interview with HuffPost, Russell said, “Oh gee. I don’t know what it’s connected to.”
