Wale is the latest artist to enter Master Peace’s wide world of genre-bending musical madness.

The DMV native reportedly reached out to the London artist after hearing his music on the radio in the U.K. From there, he reached out and the two developed a relationship that sits somewhere between clubbing together and making musical magic in the studio. The latest product of their friendship is a blend of pop, punk and rap that feels like all of the summer nights that we want to remember, but the substances we consume may not allow us to.

“I don’t wanto go home. [I] don’t wanna go home unless it’s with you. Unless, it’s with you,” Master Peace sings.

The Boon-produced track begins with a bounce as a pulsating guitar bleeds into the bridge and back into the hook. Along the way, Master Peace’s vocals are backed by a chorus of voices that make the listener feel like they’re in a party as everyone in the spot sings along to the words of the song. A little over a minute into the track, Wale effortlessly pops in with a verse that exudes an essence of fun and vibrance that is reminiscent of his mixtape days.

“Are you sane? Are you single? Are you straight? If it’s two outta three, I’ll be brave. Girl, it’s two past three, what we doing? That’s when she told her two girls, ‘Y’all be safe,’” he raps.

“Home” set the stage for Master Peace’s forthcoming project, How To Make A(nuva) Master Peace. The London native is also set to kick off the project’ accompanying tour later this year. In the meantime, checkout “Home” below.
