Matt Lauer’s Daughter in Hamptons Hit-and-Run: Report

Matt Lauer’s daughter Romy reportedly had an accident with her Jeep Wrangler in the Hamptons over the July 4th weekend. According to Page Six, the 20-year-old fled the scene but left behind her license plate, leading authorities directly to her.

Police arrived after receiving a 911 call from a neighbor who heard the crash. When Southampton Town police reached the location, they found a fence and sign had been knocked over, but Romy was no longer there.

An insider informed the outlet that Romy was issued a ticket and that well-known attorney Edward Burke Jr. is involved in resolving the case for her.

On July 4th, Romy shared a TikTok video featuring herself and two friends dining at the sushi restaurant Kissaki. In the clip, the trio said, “I just got three things to say: God bless our troops, God bless America and gentlemen, start your engines!”

Matt Lauer shares Romy with his ex-wife, Annette Roque. Together, they also have two sons, Thijs and Jack. Lauer and Roque were married from 1998 to 2019. Before his marriage to Roque, Lauer was married to Nancy Alspaugh from 1981 to 1988.

NBC fired Matt Lauer six years ago after his former co-worker Brooke Nevils accused him of sexual harassment. This led to several other women coming forward with similar allegations.
