Matthew McConaughey and his wife, Camila Alves, took fans by surprise on Instagram with a playful promotion for their tequila brand, Pantalones Organic Tequila. The couple posed without pants to capture attention in a cheeky manner, staying true to their brand’s whimsical spirit.

Known for their sense of humor, the pair embraced the theme of their brand with unreserved enthusiasm. The 54-year-old actor, who has been open about his hair care secrets, chose a bold marketing tactic by mowing the lawn in a blue button-up shirt, sturdy boots, protective eyewear, and a backward cap—while baring his bottom for the camera.

Camila, 41, matched Matthew’s outfit with a denim button-up, work boots, and a cap, but her playful glance back at him was the real show-stealer. To keep it classy, the couple’s bare bottoms were tastefully censored.

Fans reacted positively, with the post garnering over 45,000 likes and numerous comments. One fan joked, “A normal day at the McConaughey’s,” while the official Pantalones account added, “Mow the merrier.”

This isn’t the first instance of Matthew and Camila promoting their liquor brand by eschewing pants. Since launching Pantalones Organic Tequila in October 2023, they have consistently added humor to their marketing strategies, reflecting the brand’s ethos. Pantalones, which means “pants” in Spanish, also carries cultural significance as slang for “guts” or “courage”—a name fitting for a brand that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

In their brand’s press release, Matthew and Camila explained the motivation behind Pantalones. “We’re precious about our tequila—not our pants,” they said. They pointed out that the rising popularity of tequila has introduced a level of elitism similar to that in the wine world. While they appreciate the passion for tequila, they wanted to remind people that it’s meant to be fun, which inspired the brand name and their playful promotions.

The press release also highlighted the brand’s commitment to ethical production and environmental sustainability. Pantalones Organic Tequila is crafted from 100% blue Weber agave, grown by fourth-generation agave farmers at a family-owned distillery in Amatitán, Jalisco.

The couple’s dedication to sustainability extends through a partnership with the Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed at protecting oceans, waves, and beaches. “Pantalones Organic Tequila is dedicated to creating a positive ripple effect for our earth and communities,” the release stated, noting their involvement in the “1% for the Planet” initiative.
