Jasveen Sangha, dubbed the “Ketamine Queen” and recently apprehended for her alleged involvement in Matthew Perry’s death, has an interesting background deeply intertwined with crime, particularly the Mafia.

Before her arrest under claims that she supplied the “Friends” star with the fatal ketamine dose last October, Jasveen was notably a Mafia enthusiast. She even created a dedicated website that paid homage to the life of organized crime.

Jasveen’s fascination with Mafia history began in her early years after watching iconic films like “Scarface” and “The Godfather.” On her website, she details this passion, explaining how a high school research project on the Mafia further spurred her interest. She became deeply engrossed with the history and stories of America’s notorious crime families and famous gangsters.

Authorities are stressing that this deep-seated obsession is far from coincidental.

On her blog, Jasveen categorized her content into five sections: “Mafia Mug Shots,” “Famous Mafia Faces,” “Cities of Mafia Families,” “Mafia History,” and “Favorite Mafia Movies.” An old UC Irvine email address is linked to the site, and she proudly mentions being an alum of the university in her Instagram bio.

With her recent arrest and subsequent notoriety, Jasveen now finds herself a prominent figure in her own right. She and Dr. Salvador Plasencia have been charged with conspiracy to distribute ketamine after an extensive multi-agency investigation into Matthew Perry’s death.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office has further charged Jasveen with several additional offenses including maintaining a drug-involved premises, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute ketamine, and five counts of ketamine distribution. If convicted on all charges, she potentially faces a life sentence.

Other individuals involved in the case, including Erik Fleming, Dr. Mark Chavez, and Matthew Perry’s former assistant Kenneth Iwamasa, have also been arrested and charged. However, they have negotiated plea deals.

Jasveen Sangha’s story serves as a reminder that crime, both in fiction and reality, rarely leads to a favorable outcome.
