Matthew Perry’s Emotional Last Words Revealed Before His Death

The final words of beloved comedic actor Matthew Perry have been disclosed. Court documents obtained by NBC News revealed that Perry requested his assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, to help him take ketamine, a substance that prosecutors argue Perry was addicted to.

Perry reportedly asked Iwamasa to “shoot me up with a big one,” referring to the drug on three occasions.

The actor passed away at the age of 54 in October 2023 at his Pacific Palisades home. He was found unresponsive in his hot tub situated outside his residence. It was subsequently confirmed that Perry died from “the acute effects of ketamine.”

On Thursday, August 15, five individuals were charged in connection to Perry’s death, including his assistant Iwamasa and Dr. Salvador Plasencia, who is accused of supplying Iwamasa with the drug administered to Perry. The other three individuals charged are Jasveen Sangha, known as “the Ketamine Queen,” Mark Chavez, and Erik Fleming.

According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, cited by NBC, the levels of ketamine found in Perry’s body were consistent with the amount used in general anesthesia during surgery. Prosecutors state that Perry had an “out of control” ketamine addiction and would inject the drug six to eight times a day.

On the day Perry died, Iwamasa was accused of injecting him at 8:30 a.m., 12:45 p.m., and once more approximately 40 minutes later while preparing the jacuzzi for Perry. Iwamasa then left the residence to run errands. Upon returning, he found Perry face down in the pool.

In the final five days of Perry’s life, Iwamasa administered 27 shots to Perry. The personal assistant, who lacks any medical license or training, was reportedly following instructions provided by Dr. Plasencia.

Iwamasa has pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine, resulting in death.
