Maxie Solters, Entertainment Publicist in Family Business, Dies at 37

Maxie Solters, a third-generation entertainment publicist who carried on the family tradition in the industry, passed away unexpectedly in Los Angeles at the age of 37. Scoop Marketing, the company founded by her father, Larry Solters, released a statement confirming her death but did not provide specific details on the cause or location.

Born on March 22, 1987, and raised in Sherman Oaks, Solters began her career at Scoop in 2012. At Scoop, she handled public relations for significant clients such as the Hollywood Bowl, the Kia Forum, and the Music Forward Foundation. The firm also represents high-profile clients like the Eagles, John Mayer, and Dead & Company. Solters’ contributions continued the legacy of her late grandfather, Lee Solters, a renowned figure in show business who represented legends including Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra, and Michael Jackson until his death in 2009.

Maxie Solters first pursued a career in acting and casting before turning to publicity. She graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in theater and worked in film and television casting in Los Angeles. Additionally, she was a Screen Actors Guild member and appeared in various theater productions. Solters even created and produced a comedy web series, showcasing her versatility in the entertainment field.

A dedicated activist, Solters was involved with organizations like One Billion Rising and V-Day, both of which focus on ending violence against women. Scoop highlighted her “unwavering optimism and kind heart,” which had a profound impact on many, leaving “a lasting legacy of love and kindness.”

Maxie Solters is survived by her father Larry and his partner Carol Greenhut, her mother Debra Graff, and her long-term partner Dim Dobrin.
