The first episode of Mayonaka Punch introduces us to Masaki, a former celebrated Newtuber, who has experienced a significant downfall. After some minor altercations, she gets fired from her group. Watching her former group announce her departure, she decides to confront them.

Attempting a solo career, Masaki soon finds herself overwhelmed by negative comments, leading her to stop. She decides to hire someone to work alongside her. Meanwhile, at the Banpai mansion, a vampire named Live dreams of sucking Masaki’s blood. Waking up after a twenty-year slumber, Live is astonished to find that the girl from her dreams, Masakichi, exists.

As Masakichi struggles with the process of recruitment, everyone shows interest in interviewing her only for her violent reputation. Feeling disheartened, she goes for a drink and ends up at the abandoned hospital where she and her former group had shot their first video. There, she witnesses Live rummaging through the hospital supplies, which causes her to panic.

Live is equally stunned to see Masakichi and introduces herself. However, Masakichi bolts to the roof in fear. Live attempts to calm her down, but in the process, Masakichi falls off the roof. Live manages to save her, and they end up flying around the city.

The episode concludes with Masakichi agreeing to offer her blood in exchange for Live’s assistance in helping her achieve one million subscribers on her channel.
