‘MBBFL’ Star Whitney Insults Fan Over French Tutor

In 2021, after Whitney Way Thore ended her relationship with Chase Severino, she began seeing an anonymous French Tutor. However, their relationship fizzled out when they agreed to an open relationship. Now, a fan who, like many others, doubts his existence, made a light-hearted joke, only to receive a harsh insult from Thore. TLC fans can’t believe how she responds so harshly, even to friendly comments.

At the end of Season 9, Whitney assured her fans that she had spent six weeks with her beloved tutor in Paris. This seemed like a promising continuation, but ultimately led to nothing in Season 10. She later told her friends that they had agreed to an open relationship. During a tropical island vacation, she seemed jealous when her ex, Lennie Alehat, got together with another woman.

More recently, Whitney shared with fans that she still loved her French Tutor. Many believed he was a rapper named Naïl Rayner, but most thought it was all a ploy to give Whitney a storyline on the show.

Now, in Season 12, there’s a new guy named Nick who kissed her in Spain. The long-distance relationship with her French Tutor has ended, and it seems there’s always a desperate manhunt for Whitney.

On Reddit, a fan shared a screenshot of a comment and Whitney’s response from a social media post. The fan commented, “I’m glad the show is back and that they wrote out the French man, wink, wink, wink. Your life is more interesting without the ‘man plot.'” Whitney’s reply was, “…honestly, you referring to the most important person in my life as a plot that can be written out is really insulting.”

The original poster wrote in their caption, “Surrree Jan…”

In the comments, many fans criticized Whitney for her harsh reply. Here are some of their thoughts:

  • The most important part of her life didn’t want to be on camera, yet she continued with the show.
  • There’s no winning in a conversation with her. If you mention a man, you’re focusing on something other than her. If you mention the lack of men, you’re insulting her.
  • Why is she so mean to people who are trying to compliment and support her? She’s willing to lose actual fans over a fake relationship?
  • She can’t admit it’s fake, right? Bet that TLC money would disappear quickly if she failed to act insulted over the insinuation that the French man wasn’t real.

What are your thoughts about Whitney insulting a fan who joked about the French Tutor that seemingly no one believes was real? Is she risking losing fans over what might be a fake storyline?
