The new Mexican drama series The Accident (Accidente) is now streaming on Netflix and is currently the No. 4 TV show in the U.S. While watching the story unfold, meet the cast and discover who plays the main stars of the gripping new series.
From Leonardo Padrón, creator of The Marked Heart (Pálpito), the drama series explores the fallout from a child’s birthday party that takes a tragic turn. After a devastating incident leaves three children dead, a close-knit community in Santa Cruz, Mexico, is torn apart as parents question whether it was truly an accident or if someone they trust is to blame.

Mexican actress Ana Claudia Talancón stars in The Accident as Daniela, Rodrigo’s mother, a police detective. Talancón’s previous film and TV projects include Soy Tu Fan (2010), El Recluso (2018), El Crimen del Padre Amaro (2002), and more.

Colombian actor Sebastián Martínez plays Emiliano in The Accident. Emiliano is Rodrigo’s father, a lawyer, and the husband to Daniela. Martínez previously starred in Netflix’s The Marked Heart (2022), Dreamworks Sing 2 (2021), and Prime Video’s Primate (2022).

Cuban actor Alberto Guerra plays El Charro, a businessman and Gabo’s father. Viewers might recognize Guerra as Darío Sepúlveda in Netflix’s hit miniseries Griselda, which premiered earlier this year.
