Meghan Markle and Serena Williams Shine Over Prince Harry in Red Carpet Photos

You might recognize the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles from this year’s Academy Awards. But it was also the location of tonight’s ESPY Awards, where Prince Harry was honored with the Pat Tillman Award for Service for his work with the Invictus Games Foundation.

While, royally speaking, it was Harry’s night, he wasn’t the one everyone was talking about after the event—it was his wife, Meghan Markle, and tennis legend Serena Williams.

The pair shut the ESPYs red carpet down with their stunning looks. Markle wore a halter gown that looked a lot like her wedding dress. Williams, who served as host of the ESPYs, donned a similar neckline with her gorgeous blood-red gown.

The pair stopping to pose for pictures on the red carpet was by far the highlight of the ESPYs for many. They’ve been longtime friends, and Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian were even at Meghan and Harry’s wedding.

During her opening monologue, Williams even called out her royal friends. She said, “It’s well, actually only pretty often that I get to be in a room with actual royalty, and tonight is no exception. Prince Harry and Meghan are here. Let’s give it up for them.” She added, “But please, Harry and Meghan, try not to breathe too much tonight. Because this is my night, and I don’t want to be overshadowed by the accusations that you guys are taking up too much oxygen, okay?”

Despite Markle and Williams stealing the show on the red carpet, Williams did still take time to pose with her friend Harry as well.

A great night for royalty and sports royalty alike.
