Melissa Gorga Discusses ‘Crazy’ Show Drama & Future Plans

As fans and cast members of The Real Housewives of New Jersey remain on edge regarding potential changes to the Bravo series, longtime star Melissa Gorga appears unworried about her role on the show. In her words, she “just feel[s] really good about it all.”

The ongoing tension within the cast, including a significant conflict between Gorga and her sister-in-law Teresa Giudice, led to the producers splitting the housewives into two distinct groups for Season 14. Remarkably, the usual post-finale reunion was also canceled.

Adding to the atypical Season 14, the RHONJ cast didn’t partake in the customary group trip, a staple for every season of the Bravo franchise.

“I do think that Season 14 was crazy different [from] the rest, obviously, with not having a cast trip, with having a cast so divided,” Gorga shared in a recent interview with Distractify.

Looking ahead, The Real Housewives of New Jersey is bracing for changes in Season 15. Andy Cohen mentioned on his SiriusXM show that he and the other producers are working on finding a solution, according to Deadline. However, Cohen dispelled rumors of a RHONJ reboot during a Tribeca Festival panel in June.

Gorga, who has been a mainstay since Season 3, is open to changes. Speaking with Distractify, she said, “I think it’s called for; I think it’s time.”

As she looks toward the future and focuses on her podcast On Display, Gorga remains at peace with whatever decisions are made regarding the next season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

“I just feel really good about it all,” she expressed. “I feel relieved that that season is going to be in the past, and it’s time to move on. And it’s time to see what Bravo decides, you know, see which direction they’re gonna go. And the truth is, no one knows. And we are all just waiting patiently, and we’ll see what’s next.”
