Michael Strahan Shares Special News on ‘GMA’ Return
Michael Strahan made a much-awaited return to Good Morning America on Monday, rejoining his co-hosts Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos. The former NFL star had been on a two-week vacation with his family in the Bahamas. Upon his return, he shared some exciting news about his clothing line, Michael Strahan Brand.
After reappearing on GMA, Strahan took to Instagram to announce a new addition to his clothing collection. The latest update features a suit jacket, which Michael modeled himself. He posted several photos showcasing different styles of the jacket, accompanied by the caption, “It’s all about the SUIT JACKET. A timeless staple that every closet needs. Get to know more about Collection by Michael Strahan™ at @jcpenney.”
In addition to the Michael Strahan Brand, he also owns two other lines: Collection by Michael Strahan and MSX by Michael Strahan, which were launched in 2015 and 2016 respectively.
Strahan’s comeback to Good Morning America signifies his return to all his professional engagements. Over the past year, he has faced considerable personal challenges, which he has managed alongside his career.
Earlier this year, Strahan revealed that his daughter Isabella had been diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a rare type of brain tumor. Diagnosed in October 2023, the 19-year-old underwent three brain surgeries, as well as months of chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
Strahan took several leaves of absence from Good Morning America to support his daughter during her battle with cancer. Isabella first opened up about her diagnosis on GMA in January, sitting beside her father as she recounted her experience. She mentioned that her initial symptoms included headaches, nausea, and eventually difficulty walking.
The young influencer has kept her followers updated on her journey through her YouTube channel. In July, Isabella shared the joyous news that she was officially cancer-free.
Strahan touched upon his daughter’s condition during a recent episode of GMA when Kevin Jonas appeared as a guest. Jonas, who had surgery for a basal cell carcinoma, empathized with Michael, saying, “It’s nothing compared to everything you’ve gone through. Is everything alright?” To which Michael replied, “Everything is good.” Jonas then extended his well wishes, asking Michael to send his love to Isabella and the rest of the family.
Though Michael has returned to GMA, fans can expect him to adopt his routine of taking Mondays off again soon. With the NFL season kicking off in a few weeks, he will be resuming his role on Fox NFL Sunday.
