Michelle Pfeiffer is heading to Montana.

The Oscar nominee will executive produce and star in “The Madison,” a new series penned by Taylor Sheridan, set within the “Yellowstone” universe, Paramount announced Thursday.

Set in present-day, “The Madison” is the “Yellowstone” sequel that has been anticipated since the announcement that the upcoming second half of season five would air in November. These final episodes will mark the end of the series and will not feature its original star Kevin Costner.

The original series centers around the Dutton family, who have owned a massive, enviable piece of land in Montana for generations. It has become a benchmark for the Paramount streamer, with the 2022 premiere episode of season five drawing 12.1 million viewers.

Additionally, another “Yellowstone” prequel titled “1944” is in the works.

Pfeiffer’s new show, “The Madison,” will follow a family of New Yorkers who find themselves in the Madison River valley of central Montana. The series will explore themes of grief and human connection.

Her last television appearance was in 2022, portraying Betty Ford in Showtime’s “The First Lady.”

A release date for “The Madison” has not yet been announced.
