Mika Brzezinski Compares Kamala Harris Rallies to Taylor Swift Concerts

Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski drew an interesting comparison between Vice President Kamala Harris’s rallies and concerts by global music icons Taylor Swift and Adele. The comment came after Minnesota Governor Tim Walz assisted a dehydrated rally attendee.

During a Thursday discussion, Brzezinski highlighted how Harris’s rallies evoke excitement similar to major concerts, contrasting it with gatherings of political figures like Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance. The incident took place during an event in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where Walz paused his speech to address a spectator who needed help due to the heat.

Brzezinski referenced this episode to illustrate the enthusiasm surrounding Harris’s campaign. She said, “People, like, getting so overheated at rallies or in audiences and needing water — you know where that happens? At Adele concerts, at Taylor Swift concerts. That’s like — you get them on Instagram. You see those moments where Adele is like, ‘Stop, stop, please, let’s get this person some water.”

She continued, elaborating on Walz’s actions, “And Tim Walz literally did that yesterday because somebody needed water and it was trending as this incredible moment. I don’t know what’s going on, but people are very excited about this ticket and this ticket knows it needs to keep working.”

The incident unfolded during an outdoor rally on a day when temperatures in Eau Claire reached nearly 80 degrees. Noticing someone in distress, Walz interrupted his address to draw attention to the individual’s needs.

“Can we get somebody to help? Somebody’s hot,” Walz announced, pointing out into the crowd. He then advised attendees to “take care of each other” and highlighted the importance of staying hydrated.

Expressing his gratitude, Walz added, “Thank you all for helping. Grateful. Thank you. Thank you all. Take care of one another on this. This is why we gather.”

The moment, shared widely on social media, encapsulates the rising excitement and sense of community around Harris’s rallies. In many ways, it mirrors the intensely passionate scenes often seen at concerts headlined by major artists like Swift and Adele.
