Miley Cyrus Dons Alexander McQueen at Disney Legends Award Ceremony

Miley Cyrus made a striking appearance at the Disney Legends award ceremony during the D23 convention held in Anaheim, California, on Sunday. She attended the event with her sister Brandi and their mother, Tish.

For the occasion, the “Flowers” singer chose a black Alexander McQueen suit, which featured a plunging neckline, bold shoulders, a metal arm wrap, and pleated flared trousers. She complemented her outfit with silver rings and black pumps.

Cyrus wore her highlighted brunette hair straightened. Her makeup included brown eye shadow and a glossy pink lip.

During her acceptance speech, Cyrus became noticeably emotional. “I’m going to let everybody in on a little Disney Legends secret,” she began. “What I want to say is that legends get scared too. I’m scared right now but the difference is, we do it anyway, and all of you can do that every single day. It’s legendary to be afraid and do it anyway. There is no such thing as failure when you try.”

The “Hannah Montana” star, who is the youngest Disney Legends honoree, joins other 2024 recipients such as Harrison Ford, James Cameron, Angela Bassett, and composer John Williams.

“I stand here still proud to have been ‘Hannah Montana,’” Cyrus continued. “This award is dedicated to Hannah and all of her amazing, loyal fans, and to everyone who has made my dream a reality. To quote the legend herself, ‘This is the life,’” she added, referencing the “Hannah Montana” song of the same name.

Country star Lainey Wilson also performed a rendition of the show’s theme song, “The Best of Both Worlds,” during the ceremony.
