I can’t wait to hear the entire soundtrack. Today, Miranda Lambert released her song “Ain’t In Kansas Anymore,” which is featured on the forthcoming “Twisters: The Album” film soundtrack. The movie is a follow-up to the 1996 blockbuster “Twister,” starring Daisy Edgar-Jones as Kate Cooper and Glenn Powell as Tyler Owens. “Ain’t In Kansas Anymore” definitely has a fun beat to it, and I can already tell how it will fit perfectly for the big screen.

It has been really fun hearing so many country artists create original music for such a massive film. Miranda wrote “Ain’t In Kansas Anymore” with Telemitry and Jenee Fleenor. She mentioned it was a “fun challenge” to write a song with a specific purpose and vibe. Miranda expressed her gratitude towards Ram Trucks for supporting MuttNation’s disaster relief efforts in honor of the film.

To be honest, “Ain’t In Kansas Anymore” isn’t the deepest, most groundbreaking song Miranda has ever written, but considering it was written for a specific part of the movie, it makes sense. It’s not a bad song by any stretch of the imagination, and as a fan, it will be exciting to hear her in the movie theaters along with all the other country stars featured alongside her.

In addition to Miranda, we’ve heard some great songs already from Megan Moroney, Tyler Childers, Lainey Wilson, and Luke Combs. Interestingly, Luke’s song is also his current single at country radio. Charley Crockett, The Red Clay Strays, and many more will be featured on the lengthy 29-song tracklist. It’s impressive that they gathered some of the best country acts in the industry to produce what is already a solid movie soundtrack.

The entire album will be available everywhere on the day the film hits theaters, next Friday, July 19th. Check out the “Twisters: The Album” tracklist:
