Miranda Lambert Halts Show to Address Rowdy Fans

Miranda Lambert doesn’t play around when it comes to maintaining order at her concerts.

For the second time this month, the country singer paused her performance to call out a disruptive fan. The incident occurred during her headlining set at the 2024 Under the Big Sky Festival in Whitefish, Mont. on the evening of July 13.

While it’s unclear exactly what the fan did to provoke Lambert, it was obvious that the fan’s behavior was disruptive enough for her to address it mid-show.

“I can see your head is not turned the right way, which is this way,” Lambert said, pointing to her face, at the beginning of a clip filmed from the audience.

“So, if you came to visit, you can do it somewhere else. If you came to sing and hear some country music and drink some beer and raise some hell, then we’re doing that tonight,” Lambert continued as the audience cheered in support.

“Are we clear? Are we done with our drama?” she asked, pointing to a spot in the crowd. She shook her head and joked about often having more trouble with female fans in the crowd.

“It’s always the girls. We get crazy!” Lambert joked.

This recent incident follows another disruption two weeks earlier, when Lambert had to halt her performance of the slow, emotional ballad “Tin Man” to break up a fight. She took that interruption very seriously, going as far as having the instigators removed by security.

After that event, Lambert took to social media to list five uptempo songs suited for fighting, such as “Kerosene” and “Little Red Wagon,” while emphasizing that “Tin Man” is not the appropriate time for a brawl. The specific song she was performing when the latest disruption occurred is not known.
