Miranda Lambert on Hubby’s “Harsh New Yorker” Attitude: “He Calls Me Out”

Miranda Lambert recently offered fans a rare glimpse into her personal life during an appearance on Bunnie XO’s “Dumb Blonde” podcast. In a TikTok clip, Miranda opened up about her marriage to Brendan McLoughlin, a former NYPD officer. The couple, who tied the knot in January 2019, have generally kept their relationship away from the limelight.

Miranda and Brendan first crossed paths while she was on the set of “Good Morning America” with her bandmates from the Pistol Annies. A mutual spark ignited during this encounter, as Lambert elaborated: “We’re really best friends, honestly. It’s a girl from Lindale, Texas, and a guy from Staten Island, New York. He was a cop, and I was doing ‘Good Morning America.’ My bandmate Angaleena, who was eight months pregnant and wearing giant heels, spotted him and pointed out he was hot. We were tired and less enthusiastic at that hour, but she kept insisting.”

Lambert’s security team later invited Brendan to their show that evening, without a plus-one. After the event, they had a chance to meet. She shared, “My security invited him because they knew some of the same people. He came by himself, and we met up after the show. There wasn’t an agenda, just a chance to hang out and talk. We ended up becoming pen pals, exchanging old-school letters. Brendan, being eight years younger, was quite surprised by this suggestion.”

The bond between Miranda and Brendan strengthened quickly. Despite coming from different parts of the country, they discovered similarities that brought them closer together. “We just hit it off. We’re very different but come from the same background. He’s from a law enforcement and first responder family, and our attitudes align. He’s someone who isn’t a ‘yes’ person, and that’s refreshing. I don’t believe in surrounding myself with ‘yes’ people. Brendan’s honesty and directness are qualities I value. He doesn’t sugarcoat things and calls me out when necessary,” Lambert added.

Over the years, Brendan has also made appearances in some of Miranda’s music videos, including “Settling Down”. He even made a shirtless cameo in the “Tequila Does (Telemitry Remix)” video, much to the delight of fans.
