Mk.gee Reveals He’s Been Writing and Recording New Music with Justin Bieber

Bradley Calder

Justin Bieber has maintained a relatively low profile since the release of his sixth studio album, Justice, in March 2021. The pop star also canceled the remainder of his Justice World Tour due to health issues in early 2023.

However, there is now renewed excitement among Beliebers. Mk.gee, a rising artist born Michael Todd Gordon, has been collaborating with Bieber. The New York Times’ Joe Coscarelli recently profiled Mk.gee and noted, “Gordon has been writing and recording with Bieber.”

“He’s searching,” Mk.gee said about Bieber. “Anything that comes out of his mouth: That’s pop music. You can really do pretty wild stuff behind that, just because it represents something.”

Bieber has plenty of inspiration for new material. He and his wife of six years, Hailey Bieber, recently welcomed their first child, Jack Blues Bieber. The 30-year-old star announced Jack’s birth in an August 23 Instagram post, sharing a photo of the baby’s tiny foot.

Meanwhile, Mk.gee is busy with his own career, having just launched his second tour of 2024 after releasing Two Star & The Dream Police in February. Check out his remaining tour dates below:
