Morgan Wallen Surprises Fans with New Song ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’

Morgan Wallen is exciting his fans with the release of a new song titled “Lies, Lies, Lies.” This song was previously recorded as a live track and featured on his Abbey Road Sessions project, quickly becoming a fan favorite.

Wallen’s last studio album, One Thing at a Time, was released in 2023. From this 36-track project, eight songs hit country radio, marking a notable milestone. Impressively, it has been the No. 1 country album in America for a cumulative 52 weeks.

New music was highly anticipated when Wallen deactivated his Instagram page in late June after hinting that he’d been in the studio. Unlike Wallen, his “Cowgirls” partner and fellow Big Loud record label artist Ernest, as well as others in their circle, didn’t deactivate their accounts. Social media stunts are common for artists dropping new music, though Wallen took a more drastic approach.

It remains unclear whether “Lies, Lies, Lies” is part of an upcoming album or a stand-alone single. Wallen has not reactivated his Instagram or updated his other social media pages with further information at the time of this writing.

News of new music comes at a crucial point in Wallen’s career. His One Night at a Time Tour is one of the biggest in country music. He continues to dominate sales, streaming, and airplay charts, both as a solo artist and a collaborator.

However, he also faces legal challenges, with an August 15 court date for felony charges related to allegedly throwing a chair from the roof of Eric Church’s bar in Nashville back in April.

Wallen’s music has always been relatable, often reflective of his personal experiences, though fans struggle to pin one song to a particular relationship or event. “Lies, Lies, Lies” could offer fans the first glimpse into his next album, though it’s been released without much fanfare or promotional effort.
