My Hero Academia Chapter 428 Spoilers and Leaks

There are less than five chapters left until the end of the My Hero Academia manga. Fans are eager to see what Kohei Horikoshi has in store for the characters they have grown to love. The spoilers for My Hero Academia chapter 428, titled “A Girl Who Loves Smiles,” were recently released, promising an engaging continuation of the story.

The chapter begins where the previous one left off. First-year girls are explaining how they started to like Bakugo and Todoroki. However, Iida criticizes their actions, as they are all still recovering from the war. The girls apologize for their behavior.

Shinso assumes that Bakugo enjoys this kind of attention, given his personality. However, Deku explains that girls mostly avoided Bakugo before, so this type of attention is unfamiliar to him. Meanwhile, Kaminari and Mineta are jealous of the attention Bakugo and Todoroki are receiving. A first-year student approaches Deku, revealing that he wants to be like him. This leaves Deku flustered and confused as he recalls his conversation with Spinner.

In the teacher’s room, Mic informs Ectoplasm that Aizawa has rejected another interview request for Class 2A. Ectoplasm points out that some students, like Mineta, would appreciate the attention, but Aizawa remains firm in his decision.

The class is then sent to assist in the reconstruction efforts alongside other pro heroes. Bakugo questions EdgeShot about his condition, to which EdgeShot responds that he will be back and better than ever. Civilians arrive to help serve lunch to the heroes, with one of them approaching Deku to mention that their plantation was destroyed. Deku immediately apologizes, but the civilian clarifies they do not blame him. They were inspired by the heroes’ fight to take action on their own.

Later, the first-year students return and apologize for their earlier behavior, deciding to help with the reconstruction efforts.

The focus then shifts to Ochako, who expresses joy at seeing everyone smiling. However, Deku and Tsuyu worry about her. Before they can speak, she runs off to get more food, but it is clear she is masking her true feelings. Uraraka is later seen eating an Onigiri with a forced smile.

Tsuyu decides to go home for a while as students no longer need to stay in the dorms, but Uraraka doesn’t respond. The scene flashes back to the aftermath of Uraraka’s battle with Toga, revealing that the reporter’s battery died, so the conclusion of the fight was not captured.

Uraraka reflects on the city from atop a hill, relieved that the battle is over. She loves seeing people smile and suppresses her own feelings to avoid ruining the mood. She is haunted by the image of Toga smiling and crying, leading her to tears. The spoilers conclude with Deku arriving to comfort her.
