Sports fans were treated to quite the spectacle during the men’s basketball tournament at the Paris Olympics. While the result followed its usual pattern with the United States winning the gold medal, the tournament was joyous, featuring a number of NBA players who delivered high-level hoops throughout. The Americans’ semifinal victory over Serbia stands among the very best basketball games ever, while their final win against France showcased Steph Curry performing some absolutely incredible plays that secured their triumph.

Watching the games was remarkable, even when the U.S. wasn’t on the court. The high level of play from teams around the world was impressive. On Friday, Netflix gave fans a teaser for an upcoming project centered around this very tournament, scheduled for release in 2025. Though details are scarce, Netflix tweeted an image showing a ball encircled by international jerseys of LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Franz Wagner, and Victor Wembanyama.

“Relive the journey behind the tip-off to Olympic glory,” the tweet read. “Coming to Netflix in 2025.”

Back in May, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced a partnership with Netflix to produce a trio of series focused on the Paris Olympics. While it remains uncertain if the basketball series’ plans have shifted, the IOC initially revealed, “Olympic Men’s Basketball will give all access to the sport’s promising hopefuls and medal contenders from across the world as they first battle to qualify for Paris 2024 before setting their sights on the Olympic podium. Through a generation of legends, the six-episode series will also explore what has led the game to become such a global, competitive phenomenon.”
