New Cast Members & Their Roles

“Fire Country” is coming in scorching hot with its next season and sees the introduction of two new faces. One will seemingly tie into Bode Donovan’s (Max Thieriot) journey into the world of Southern California firefighters, and the other appears to be linked to the realm of Three Rock.

The new actors joining the series are Jared Padalecki and Leven Rambin. Padalecki, famously known for his role on “Supernatural” and recently seen in The CW’s reboot of “Walker,” will portray Camden Casey, according to Deadline. Camden is a confident surfer-type firefighter who takes an immediate liking to Bode. Fans can expect Padalecki to be a recurring actor on the show. Camden’s character might even be spun off into his own series if he resonates well with the audience. Another spin-off, “Sheriff Country,” which follows Morena Baccarin’s Mickey Fox, is already in development at CBS.

Meanwhile, TVLine reports that “True Detective” star Leven Rambin will play Audrey. Like Bode, Audrey is a former prison fire camp participant and boasts a street-smart toughness. However, she also has a softer side; she’s a musician and brings a kind, sunny demeanor that could help Bode get over his post-Gabriela (Stephanie Arcila) blues. Rambin, like Padalecki, will appear on the series recurrently. While “Fire Country” executive producers haven’t explicitly spoken about Rambin’s addition, they have shared their excitement about Padalecki joining the cast.

“Fire Country” showrunner Tia Napolitano expressed enthusiasm about Padalecki’s involvement in Season 3, telling TVLine, “We launch Camden Casey in a really dynamic way. We were so excited about casting Jared. And he’s really going to ‘flip the script’ in Edgewater. Everyone sort of treats Bode as this tiger they’re trying to tame, and Camden kind of says, ‘Why are you trying to tame a tiger? Let him out!'”

With Camden set to unleash Bode’s inner rebel, it raises questions about how this will impact the story. Will Bode land himself in trouble, perhaps finding himself back at Three Rock? Could he get into hot water trying to cover for Casey? Or will he develop a new connection with Audrey that further complicates his life? Fans will have to wait and see how these new dynamics unfold.

Anticipation is building as “Fire Country” gears up to return with fresh episodes on October 18.
