New Movies and TV on Netflix in September, Featuring ‘The Best Film of 2024’

With autumn on the horizon, Netflix fans have plenty to look forward to with a fresh slate of movies and TV shows set to debut in September.

Among the highly anticipated releases is the comedy-drama film His Three Daughters, which stars Carrie Coon, Natasha Lyonne, and Elizabeth Olsen. Fans can also look forward to the eighth season of Selling Sunset and a new season of the US reality show The Circle.

Netflix is also set to conclude its popular series Emily in Paris and introduce a new season of Ryan Murphy’s anthology show Monster. While the first season in 2022 focused on Jeffrey Dahmer, the upcoming episodes will delve into the story of brothers Erik and Lyle Menendez, who were convicted of their parents’ murders in 1996.

Another major release this September is Rebel Ridge, directed by Jeremy Saulnier. Starring Aaron Pierre, the film follows a former Marine who battles local corruption in a small town to reclaim a bag of cash critical for his cousin’s bail. Notably, critics are already praising the film. Jesse Hessenger suggested a cinema release, deeming it “one of the year’s best movies.” Brian Davids of The Hollywood Reporter called it “one of my favourite films of the year,” lauding Aaron Pierre’s performance.

The Independent has curated a full list of all the movies and TV shows being added to Netflix in the UK and US, with help from What’s on Netflix.
