New on Netflix September 2024: All Films and Shows, Including ‘Best Movie’

With autumn around the corner, Netflix is preparing to release an array of movies and TV shows to keep you entertained indoors.

Among the September releases are the comedy-drama film "His Three Daughters," starring Carrie Coon, Natasha Lyonne, and Elizabeth Olsen, the eighth season of "Selling Sunset," and a new series of the US reality show "The Circle."

Additionally, there will be the conclusion of "Emily in Paris" and a new season of Ryan Murphy’s anthology show "Monster." The first series, released in 2022, focused on Jeffrey Dahmer, but new episodes will delve into the story of brothers Erik and Lyle Menendez, who were convicted of their parents’ murders in 1996.

Another notable release this month is "Rebel Ridge," a film that some critics are already calling the best film of the year. Directed by Jeremy Saulnier ("Blue Ruin," "Green Room"), and starring Aaron Pierre, the film follows a former Marine confronting corruption in a small town after local law enforcement unjustly seizes his bag of cash needed to post his cousin’s bail.

Critic Jesse Hessenger suggested "Rebel Ridge" deserves a cinema release so that people could see one of the year’s best movies on the big screen. The Hollywood Reporter’s Brian Davids added: "’Rebel Ridge’ is one of my favorite films of the year, and Aaron Pierre is a full-sized movie star."

Here is a rundown of the new titles being added to Netflix in the UK and US in September, as compiled by The Independent with some help from What’s on Netflix.
