New Terrifier 3 Photos Reveal Art the Clown in Santa Outfit

Art the Clown has embraced the holiday spirit as October approaches, getting ready for the festive season. This Wednesday, the first official teaser for *Terrifier 3* will drop online, but to tide fans over, USA Today has released four exclusive new photos, providing the first real sneak peek at the upcoming slasher flick.

Along with the photos, *Terrifier* director Damien Leone shared some insights with the outlet about what to expect from the third film and how it delves deeper into the mythology of Art the Clown.

The newly released photos offer a glimpse of Lauren LaVera, reprising her role as Sienna Shaw. Sienna is grappling with the trauma from her last encounter with Art the Clown, which left her having to kill him in the second film—though fans know he’ll make another appearance. One of the more captivating images features Art in a jovial Santa Claus outfit, complete with whimsical glasses, spreading twisted holiday cheer.

Among the grim photos, the most disturbing depicts Victoria Heyes (played by Samantha Scaffidi), who is returning after becoming possessed by an unknown entity. Victoria, the franchise’s original final girl, has endured severe ordeals since the 2018 film. Notably, she gave “birth” to a new incarnation of Art in the unsettling post-credits scene of *Terrifier 2.* The latest image shows her in a noticeably deteriorated state.

In his interview with USA Today, Leone explained his desire to place Art in various “classic Christmas movie” scenarios to see how he would adapt. Despite the seasonal setting, *Terrifier 3* is poised to deliver the same brutal gore and practical effects that fans have come to love.

Leone describes *Terrifier 3* as “way more relentless and gory,” noting that he had to get inventive to devise new methods for Art to torment his victims.

“As evil as [Art] is, he’s equally charming and there’s something sweet about him. You almost want to be his friend.”

Just like at *Terrifier 2* showings, screenings of *Terrifier 3* have reportedly caused some audience members to faint and vomit. Even David Thornton Howard, who portrays Art the Clown, nearly threw up on set during the filming of the third installment.

Set five years after the events of *Terrifier 2,* the new movie depicts a world where Sienna succeeded in decapitating the original Art the Clown. However, as shown in the post-credits scene, Art has returned with a vendetta, possessed by a mysterious evil entity.

As Sienna and her younger brother Jonathan (played by Elliott Fullam) try to enjoy the festivities with their family, Miles County braces for a deadly visitor far more menacing than Santa.

*Terrifier 3* hits theaters on October 11.
