Nicki Minaj Sued by Super Fan for Alleged Slander: Report

Nicki Minaj is facing legal action from a dedicated fan who alleges the rapper has defamed him and caused significant emotional and reputational damage.

According to a report from the U.K.’s Daily Mail published on Sunday, August 25, Tameer Peak, a fan of Nicki Minaj for 15 years, claims he was publicly humiliated by the rap superstar. Peak alleges that Minaj accused him of being mentally unstable and labeled him as a stalker.

In the lawsuit, Peak detailed an incident where Minaj invited him to her hotel before “embarrassing him in front of 100K viewers.” Another alleged incident mentioned involves Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, who reportedly “battered” Peak during a Super Bowl LIV event in 2020.

Furthermore, Peak claims that Minaj implied he was on welfare and described him as being “one sandwich short of a picnic.” He also alleges she referred to him as a “stalker” and accused him of falsely claiming to work for her.

Tameer Peak is seeking $5 million in damages, citing reputational harm, emotional distress, and financial loss.

XXL has reached out to Nicki Minaj’s representatives for comments regarding the lawsuit.

Nicki Minaj’s current legal battles come on the heels of another recent settlement. The rapper recently resolved a lawsuit with blogger Marley Green, known as Nosey Heaux, who had defamed her.

Court documents obtained by XXL on August 17 revealed that Minaj settled her lawsuit against Green. Nicki initially sued Green in September 2022 for defamation after Green labeled her a “cokehead” in a video. As part of the settlement, Green admitted to making false statements about Minaj using cocaine.

Additionally, Green issued an apology for her false statements. She also vowed to refrain from making any further false claims about Minaj or her son in the future.
