The gown, which Kidman first saw from the front row at the collection’s Los Angeles runway show earlier this year, exemplifies the brand’s fusion of modern design with historical references.

The gown is a strapless minimalist creation made from black satin. It reflects creative director Demna’s deep admiration for Balenciaga’s archives, specifically paying homage to Cristóbal Balenciaga’s original designs. The dress references the founding designer’s “envelope dress” that Balenciaga introduced on the runway in 1967, showcasing a modern take on the iconic silhouette.

In “The Perfect Couple,” Kidman plays Greer Garrison Winbury, a prominent character involved in a high-society wedding that becomes the center of a criminal investigation.
