No One More Perfect

In a Billboard cover story published Thursday, Aug. 22, rapper Rakim Mayers, better known as A$AP Rocky, shared insights about his relationship with superstar Rihanna. The couple, who have kept their bond strong through demanding schedules, share two young sons: RZA Athelston Mayers, aged 2, and Riot Rose Mayers, aged 1.

Rocky reflected on their relationship, saying, “It’s crazy how we find balance with our chaotic schedules,” emphasizing Rihanna’s understanding nature. “I don’t think there’s a more perfect person,” he added. He noted that their relationship thrives on mutual understanding and compatibility, whether they are busy or have free time.

The couple’s history dates back nearly a decade before they confirmed their relationship publicly in November 2020. Their connection deepened in 2013 when Rocky joined Rihanna’s Diamond Tour, and she later featured in his music video “Fashion Killa.”

In May 2022, they welcomed their first child together. Their family grew again in February when Rihanna announced her second pregnancy during her Super Bowl Halftime Show performance. By August 2023, they had welcomed their second son, Riot.

Fatherhood has been a significant theme for Rocky. On Father’s Day this year, he and his sons were featured in Bottega Veneta’s “Portraits of Fatherhood” campaign. The series showcased tender moments between Rocky and his boys in a homely setting, with both toddlers donning onesies that had “best dad” written inside a heart.

Earlier this month, the family was seen enjoying some downtime on the beach in Barbados, Rihanna’s homeland. The couple was photographed having fun on an inflatable orange sofa as they floated on the sea, showing their playful side.

Just a day before their beach outing, Rihanna made headlines at the annual Crop Over Festival in Barbados. She attended the Grand Kadooment parade, stunning everyone with a custom winged Carnival costume adorned with gold and bronze jewels and a matching headpiece.
