Oasis Announces Worldwide Reunion Tour

British rock legends Oasis announced Tuesday they will reunite for a worldwide tour starting in the UK next year, as brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher ended an infamous 15-year feud.

The band, known for hit songs like “Wonderwall”, “Don’t Look Back In Anger” and “Champagne Supernova”, revealed on their social media platform they will perform in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin.

Formed in 1991 in Manchester, Oasis was instrumental in creating the Britpop era of the 1990s. This will mark the first time the band has played together since 2009, following a public falling-out between the Gallagher brothers.

“The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised,” Oasis proclaimed, announcing the reunion and preliminary tour details.

This announcement concluded days of ongoing hints and fevered speculation about their return.

The tour will commence with two nights at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on July 4, 2025, followed by a concert at Heaton Park in Manchester.

The band will then play London’s Wembley Stadium in early August, Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, and finish the European leg at Dublin’s Croke Park later in the month.

“Their only shows in Europe next year, this will be one of the biggest live moments and hottest tickets of the decade,” an online statement declared.

Plans are underway to take Oasis Live ’25 to other continents outside of Europe later in the year.

Oasis have been synonymous with ’90s Britpop music, engaging in a fierce rivalry with Blur, co-founded by Damon Albarn. The Manchester outfit was equally notorious for public fights between Liam and Noel.

Sibling tensions peaked during a spat in Paris at the 2009 Rock en Seine festival, where Liam broke one of Noel’s guitars.

The Gallagher brothers have not performed together since that acrimonious split, though both continue to play Oasis hits to sold-out crowds.

Until now, their public communication has mainly been through social media jabs.

The reunion marks 30 years since Oasis’s 1995 album “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”, which achieved international critical acclaim.

Tracks from the first recording session for their debut album “Definitely Maybe” will be released on Friday, a day after its 30th anniversary, according to Britain’s Press Association (PA) news agency.

Unheard versions of songs like “Live Forever”, “Cigarettes & Alcohol” and “Rock ‘N’ Roll Star” from their initial recording sessions will be among them.

Speculation that Oasis will be on the bill for next year’s Glastonbury 2025 festival has been dismissed, per PA.

The Gallagher brothers have hinted at reconciliation before, with Noel last year saying “never say never” about a reunion.

Hints of an upcoming reunion became more blatant as social media accounts for the brothers and the band’s official account teased Tuesday’s announcement.

Tickets for the UK dates will go on sale from 9am (0800 GMT) on Saturday, with Dublin tickets available from 8am the same day.
