Die-hard Oasis fans attempting to secure tickets for the band’s 2025 reunion tour have expressed their “nightmare” experiences and feelings of “frustration and anger” after failing to get tickets. The general sale started at 9am on Saturday for UK fans and an hour earlier for those in Ireland.

Many fans took to social media to vent their frustrations at Ticketmaster after facing issues like being kicked out of queues or mistakenly identified as bots, preventing them from purchasing tickets to see Noel and Liam Gallagher perform together again.

Scott McLean, a 28-year-old data analyst from Belfast, Northern Ireland, tried for tickets to the Dublin show but found himself extremely frustrated and angry after being kicked out of the Ticketmaster queue. Logging into his account at 7.30am, he joined a queue of 20,000 people, waiting for around 30 minutes before selecting four tickets for the Croke Park show.

However, his browser started buffering for half an hour during the checkout process. He reached out to Ticketmaster’s customer service on X (formerly Twitter) for help, and followed their advice to clear cookies and cache on his browser. The move backfired, leading to him being kicked out completely and pushed to a spot 700,000 places behind in the queue.

Despite the ordeal, McLean downplayed the impact, stating, “It’s just tickets for a concert after all, but I really wanted to go.”

Another fan, 35-year-old George Buka from Southend-on-Sea, Essex, shared a similar frustrating experience. Attempting to buy tickets for an Oasis show in the UK, he described his experience with Ticketmaster as a “nightmare.”

“It’s been an absolute nightmare. I’ve been trying since 8am this morning. You have to queue to join the queue; you can’t even log in,” Buka told PA. He added that Ticketmaster doesn’t have the facilities or capacity to handle such large-scale events properly. “But it’s not the first time Ticketmaster has made it difficult for fans to try and buy tickets,” he added.

Buka faced long waits in queues, repeated website crashes, and failed log-in attempts. He noted that one of his sessions was suspended because Ticketmaster mistook him for a bot, even though he only had one tab open. After finally managing to join the queue at around 10am, Buka expressed concern that many tickets would likely be resold at inflated prices by third-party providers.

“Despite Oasis saying it wouldn’t happen, people will still find a loophole,” Buka lamented. “The touts, the influencers, they’ll get to the show and ruin it for the genuine fans. I really wanted to go, but it’s just ruined my morning.”
