Oasis Hints at Glastonbury Reunion in Recent Announcement

Oasis has announced a reunion tour, 15 years after their split, with an unexpected statement that may debunk ongoing Glastonbury Festival rumors.

Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, who had a notorious falling out backstage at a 2009 festival in Paris, seem to have reconciled. Over the past 15 years, they have frequently sparked and fanned the flames of reunion gossip. The now-confirmed tour includes 14 shows across the UK and Ireland next summer.

Fans are buzzing with speculation that Oasis might headline Glastonbury, especially since their tour kicks off just after the festival, which runs from 25 to 29 June 2025. However, as “Glastonbury” climbed to the top of UK social media trends following the band’s announcement, an update to Oasis’s post read: “These dates will be the band’s exclusive European appearances.”

This seems to put a damper on the rumors that Oasis will launch their reunion tour with a Glastonbury headlining spot.

Despite this, many ardent fans remain skeptical, viewing the update as possibly a strategic misdirection to keep enthusiasts guessing. After all, Glastonbury headliners are traditionally confirmed post ticket sales in October, and 2025’s event will be the last one before the festival takes a break in 2026.

Besides Oasis, other big names speculated to headline Glastonbury in 2025 include Eminem, Rihanna, and Bruce Springsteen along with the E Street Band, who have a postponed European date set for the same month as the festival.

Hints of an Oasis reunion have surfaced over recent months. For instance, Noel recently gave a rare compliment to his younger brother during a surprise interview last week.

Since their split, both Noel and Liam have had successful solo careers. Liam pursued a path as a singer-songwriter while Noel formed his band, High Flying Birds. Though they have individually performed at Glastonbury, their last appearance together as Oasis dates back to 2004.
